Facebook Application Changes

FaceBook Logo Facebook Application ChangesRecently Facebook made some changes to their application development structure. This was a shift away from FBML and moving to (or back to) an iFrame. This shift in technology has opened up a whole new world of opportunities for developers. Now nearly everything that you can do on the web or from a website can be done within Facebook. You can create a poll for your customers on your fan page. You could create a Facebook campaign to get more fans – offer an incentive to people for becoming a fan, a digital download perhaps or you’ll send them a sticker. You could do something a simple as re-pourposing your blog content right into your Facebook Fan Page or offering a signup for your email list.

Facebook has become a powerful marketing tool for businesses. This shift in technology will prove the old adage, “you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet!” My prediction is that within 5 years MOST businesses will interact with their customers and clients within Facebook. Beat the rush – let’s build an APP.
